No audio for the phrases with the numbers?
Thank you for your feedback. I didn’t think it was necessary at this point. Do you think I should put them there?
If you could, that will be great. The listening exercises help getting familiar with “hearing” Portuguese. To be fair, I also enjoyed reading and figuring out the meanings before checking what each sentence meant in English.
Hi. Do you think I should upload an audio for the phrases with numbers? Glad you are enjoying it so far.
‘ a aprender a falar’ both of these verbs are in the infiniive, why do we put ‘a’ in front of them? Why not ‘Eu aprendo’?
Hi Cassie, thank you for your question.
Estou a aprender – is the present continuous, as learning is a progressive act.
Eu aprendo portuguรชs com livros, would be more like you suggest.
When the direct complement (object) of learning is a verb in the infinitive, this is governed by the preposition a e.g: aprender a tocar guitarra, aprender a andar de bicicleta, etc.
I hope this clears it up.
Listening to the phrases and repeating always helps (me). Pronunciation even at this early stage is not easy at all. ๐
The more you listen and repeat the more you will learn. You will get there. ๐ Keep up the good work!
